Four State-of-the-Art Turf Fields

The four artificial turf fields are designed for high-volume use while maintaining consistent play quality. They will support tournaments, league play, and multi-sport programming across a busy sports calendar.

Each field will offer flexible layouts for 5v5, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 soccer, while also accommodating flag football and lacrosse. This flexibility allows the complex to host a broader range of programming without sacrificing field quality.

Built for durability and high traffic, the turf fields will support both daily local use and large competitive events.

Seven Premium Natural Grass Fields

The seven natural grass fields will offer a traditional playing surface valued by athletes, coaches, and families. These fields are designed to combine strong performance, visual appeal, and long-term resilience.

Built with premium soil foundations and natural drainage solutions, the grass fields are planned to support root health, field stability, and lasting quality through continued use.

Together, the turf and grass fields will create a balanced, versatile complex for a wide range of athletes and events.

An Experience Built Around Athletes, Families & Fans

At Sports at WEC, the experience extends beyond the field. Phase I includes guest-focused amenities designed to make every visit more comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable.

Restaurant Building

The on-site restaurant building will give families, teams, and visitors a place to gather, relax, and recharge throughout the day. Guests attending practices, weekend events, or tournaments will have access to dining in a setting that complements the Sports at WEC experience.

Multiple Restrooms

Two indoor restroom buildings will provide easy access to on-site facilities, so guests will not need to leave the venue during events. Designed for comfort and convenience, they will include accessible layouts and family-friendly accommodations for parents, coaches, and young athletes.

Two Covered Seating Structures

Two covered seating structures will provide shaded, comfortable viewing areas for games and events, improving the spectator experience and reinforcing the hospitality guests expect at World Equestrian Center.

Expanding Opportunity in the Ocala Community

This expansion is an investment in the future of youth and community sports in Ocala. By adding high-quality playing space and guest amenities, Sports at WEC will create greater access to organized athletics in an environment built for participation, development, and connection.

For families, that means more local opportunities without sacrificing quality. For athletes, it means access to facilities that support growth and performance. For the broader community, it means a stronger destination for recreation, competition, and events.

Built for Today. Ready for Tomorrow.

The expansion builds on the momentum of soccer programming developed in partnership with Florida Premier FC under the WEC Premier FC banner. That partnership has expanded youth soccer opportunities across Marion County and the surrounding area, creating more paths for participation and development.

Current offerings include programs for boys and girls at multiple levels, including introductory experiences, recreational leagues, youth camps, and competitive club opportunities. As new facilities come online, Sports at WEC will be able to grow these programs while opening the door to additional sports and future event programming.

The vision is to create a sports destination that supports athletes from their first introduction to the game through advanced levels of competition, all within the World Equestrian Center standard.

A Premier Multi-Sport Destination in Central Florida

The long-term vision for Sports at WEC is to create a campus that serves local participation, regional competition, and large-scale athletic events. With strong accessibility in the greater Ocala area and a continued focus on quality, the expansion is designed to support a wide range of programs while welcoming families and visitors into an elevated sports experience.

This project is not just about adding fields. It is about creating a destination where sport, community, and hospitality come together in a thoughtful, polished, and future-focused way.

A Commitment to Community

“This expansion represents an important investment in our community and the families we serve. By continuing to grow Sports at WEC, we are creating more opportunities for youth to participate, develop, and thrive in a welcoming, family-focused environment that reflects our commitment to quality and experience.”
